Onesquethaw Creek

The property consists for 4 parcels: two in the Town of Bethlehem and two in the Town of New Scotland. They have frontage along Rarick Road in the southwest corner of the Town of Bethlehem. The property is very near Audubon’s Hollyhock Hollow Sanctuary. MHLC has an agreement with The Audubon Society of New York State, Inc. for access to the property.

These four parcels were obtained by Albany County because of non-payment of taxes. They were offered to the Conservancy by the County Legislature because of their environmental significance. The County Legislature stated they were to be used, "for the purpose of providing public access to the property in support of environmental educational programs..."

This property consists of limestone pavement with creviced bedrock similar to the Winn Preserve. The parcels are near to, but do not have frontage on the Onesquethaw Creek.
