These four parcels were obtained by Albany County because of non-payment of taxes. They were offered to the Conservancy by the County Legislature because of their environmental significance.
The County Legislature stated they were to be used, "for the purpose of providing public access to the property in support of environmental educational programs..."
This property consists of limestone pavement with creviced bedrock similar to the Winn Preserve. The parcels are near to, but do not have frontage on the Onesquethaw Creek.
