We’re thrilled to share some exciting news announced this week on a podcast conversation between our Executive Director Mark King and the Albany County Executive Dan McCoy. While discussing the County’s role in helping secure two major conservation acquisitions — the 130-acre North Street property in Bethlehem and 197 acres in Guilderland adjacent to Thacher State Park — the County Executive generously offered an unexpected boost to our work with a 30‑day, $3,000 Matching Challenge.
Every dollar you give from now until the April 4 deadline will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $3,000. That means your gift goes twice as far to preserve open space, protect wildlife habitat, and safeguard the natural landscapes our community treasures.
In the podcast, the County Executive noted how these recent projects show what’s possible when local government and dedicated community partners work together. This challenge is a direct extension of that spirit — and now you can be part of the momentum.
Help us meet the challenge and fuel the next chapter of conservation in our county! Click here to DONATE.
