If you’re visiting our Bozen Kill, Hollyhock Hollow, Winn, or Wolf Creek Falls Preserves over the next month or so, you’ll probably notice tree flagging (ribbon) on a number of the eastern hemlocks. These trees have been marked for treatment to protect from the Hemlock Woolly Adelgid as part of MHLC’s Helderberg Hemlock Program.

The flagging will be removed and replaced with small aluminum tags when the treatment is complete. In the meantime, please do NOT remove the flagging!
